Great safe, but corners were cut due to Chinese manufacturing

I got my Premium 08 from a local Liberty dealer, and it was delivered, stair dollied upstairs, and professionally installed. I really like it, but there has been one quality control issue so far. There is plastic or rubber stripping that runs along the outer part of the safe where the door closes. I presume this is to keep water and smoke out, as well as cushion the heavy door when closing it. The adhesive used on that stripping is not quality, and it started to peel off on its own the very first day. I applied a bit of superglue, readjusted the strips, and fixed the problem, but after dropping almost $2k on my safe and installation, I wasn't too happy. I don't feel this would be an issue if this safe was made in America and not China. For the price I paid, I really wish it was American made. Liberty's installers and delivery options make this safe worth purchasing, but if you can find an American-made safe with similar pricing and delivery, weigh your options carefully.

I did a lot of research before I bought Liberty. The information on the safe and how it is made was just amazing. Life time warranty on the safe. Although I bought the Premium Home 8, this will serve me just fine.

Great Safe!

This is a good safe. Exactly what you would expect from Liberty. Strong, aesthetically pleasing, spacious and secure. The only fault I can find with this premium home 8 is that it is NOT made in the USA. It is made in China. This is my reason for giving this safe 4 instead of 5 stars. Despite that, I am very pleased. This is my second Liberty Safe.
