Securam Toplit Electronic Lock Battery Replacement Trick

I have the Securam Toplit Electronic Lock on my Liberty Centurion Deluxe 24. The lock works great but, as noted in another review, the 'twist off' collar on the lock can be difficult to turn when it's time to replace the battery. I attribute this to the collar sticking to the rubbery gasket around the back of the collar. What I do is work my thumbnail around the perimeter of the collar (between the collar and the gasket) to slightly separate the gasket from the outside of the collar. Then, while it can still stick a bit, the collar can be twisted counter-clockwise and removed more easily.

Centurion Safe Battery replacement

We purchased our Liberty Centurion safe in March of 2019. It did not come with any instructions for replacing the battery. Our safe came with a "Securam Toplit ElectronicLock". It was under warranty when the fire seal on the hinge side of the door came loose. They did mail me a replacement fire seal for me to install. Not a hard thing to do but, made me wonder about the manufacturing quality.
Now obtaining information from the internet to replace the battery to twist the outer ring of the lock to access the battery. Unfortunately, the outer ring will not turn. Some locks supposedly have a release at the bottom of the ring/dial but this one doesn't.
So now I have a safe that I cannot get in and Liberty doesn't have any support on the weekends.
Really disappointed in Liberty Safes. Keep the above in mind when purchasing a Liberty Safe.

Hi, sorry to hear about the issues with changing the battery in your lock. Our customer support is open Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM MST.

However on our website in the navigation bar under Tools > Services and Support we have a section on operating your safe lock that you can find here https://www.libertysafe.com/pages/operating-your-lock

Works as Advertised

Came on my Liberty Centurion 24. Was easy to set my combination. No issues in the year or so I've had it. Some days I open it 5-6 times a day. Works every time. Haven't tested the lockout feature for failed combination entry.
