Bought a Liberty gun safe 1776 for my guns and was really happy with the quality and delivery of my safe. Then purchased a handgun vault based on that purchase and the description of the vault from Liberty and thought how could I go wrong! Set up several finger print scans and this is such a long process to get into the vault that if someone was breaking in and you needed your handgun you would not have time to retrieve from the vault! I had to start leaving my gun out at night and then spend 10 or 20 scans to open to put back into the vault! In short I wasted my money on this device and wish liberty had this one back! The cabinet is well built but the scanner for the fingerprints need much improving! Sorry, Liberty I'm just calling like it is!

I had purchased a Liberty Safe Fat Boy Jr. approx. 2 weeks and are was very pleased with the service I got from Lane's Liberty Safe in Hubbard, Oregon. I purchased a HDX-270 for myself and a HDX-150 for my sister in law for a Christmas present for hr son. As before the customer service was suburb at Lanes and I would highly recommend on buying a Liberty safe from them.
Although I didn't realize but neither of these Bio metric Smart Vaults had rebate offers. I initially went on the home web site at Liberty Safe to purchase the HDX-270 online but I had found out that Lane Liberty Safe had a HDX-270 and I chose to buy it from them rather than online. I had an email from Liberty Safe stating that I had the HDX-270 Bio Metric Smart vault in my in box for check out and that I would be eligible for a rebate on this. since I had purchased two Bio metric smart Vaults as well as a Fat boy Jr. it would of been nice to had rebates on either of the two Bio metric Smart Vaults as well.
I would be more than happy if Liberty Safe could work with me on how I could take advantage of getting a rebate for the Bio Metric Smart Vaults.

I purchased the HDX-270 with woodgrain finish. I told my wife I would put it just under my nightstand, and she was apprehensive at the site because it is clearly visible there. She thought it would not be pretty. after we receive the vault, and put our fingerprints and put it under the nightstand, she warmed up to it very quickly. She said "the wood grain makes it look very nice!" We both have more confidence now that our weapons are in a safe place, with quick access, and looks pretty????
Vault takes too long to open, (read prints). Spent a considerable amount of time registering multiple digits and vault does not recognize any at this time. ready instruction manual multiple times and still is not opening
